Sports has always been one of the best ways to inculcate healthy habits and much-needed life skills in people. At our Alumina Refinery operations in Lanjigarh (Kalahandi, Odisha), we run archery and karate training programmes to nurture the innate skills of the local youth. We provide them with extensive support in the form of professional training and top-quality equipment, which have enabled students to showcase their sporting talent at major platforms. This has enabled numerous youths from rural Odisha to participate in various championships in both sports at the state and national levels and earn many a laurel for their community. We also encourage the greater participation of youth from communities across our locations, by regularly supporting community tournaments in several sports including cricket, football and volleyball.
