Vedanta Aluminium’s rural health camps reach 10,000 residents
30th November 2023Sijimali, Odisha; 30 November, 2023 – Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, successfully organized a series of health camps reaching out to more than 10,000 people in a span of 6 weeks. Through this community-centric endeavour, crucial healthcare services and essential medications were delivered free-of-cost to the residents of 25 under-served and remote villages in the areas neighbouring Sijimali in Kalahandi & Rayagada districts of Odisha.
Focused on providing quality healthcare in remote communities, the camps offered an array of completely free services, including complimentary medical check-ups, malaria screenings, blood sugar tests, and the provision of essential medications. These services not only addressed immediate health concerns but also played a vital role in providing preventive care, thereby enhancing the overall well-being of the community. Vedanta’s proactive outreach garnered widespread appreciation from the villagers. They conveyed their gratitude and voiced their desire for more such frequent health camps in their respective villages.
