Vedanta Aluminium Celebrates Children’s Day 2025 With Joy, Learning and Empowerment

New Delhi, 15 November 2025: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, celebrated Children’s Day 2025 with vibrant and inclusive activities across its operations in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Andhra Pradesh. The celebrations reached more than 9,000 children through a rich blend of initiatives focused on educational support, cultural engagement, sports, and skill-building, reaffirming Vedanta’s commitment to nurturing young minds.

As part of its broader CSR vision, Vedanta Aluminium continues to invest in the holistic development of children through sustained interventions in education, health, sports, and future-ready skills. From cutting-edge digital classrooms and well-equipped science labs to archery academies and comprehensive skill schools, the company’s initiatives are designed to empower children and youths with the tools they need to thrive. These efforts are deeply aligned with Vedanta’s philosophy of inclusive growth and its belief that sustainable community development begins with creating a conducive environment for children to progress.

Highlights from Children’s Day Celebrations Across Vedanta Aluminium’s Operations

  • Jharsuguda, Odisha: Over 5,000 students from 106 schools participated in Anand Nagri, a student-led entrepreneurship fair organised in collaboration with district authorities. Separately, celebrations at schools featured two days of competitions and distribution of sports materials to support holistic development.
  • Lanjigarh, Odisha: More than 500 children across schools and Vedanta Nand Ghars received study materials, sports kits, and participated in joyful games and activities.
  • Jamkhani, Ghogharpalli & Kuraloi: Celebrations spanned 42 schools and 51 Anganwadi centres, engaging over 2,850 children, teachers, and Anganwadi workers. Activities included cultural programs, fun games, and distribution of school kits to promote education and hygiene.
  • BALCO, Chhattisgarh: Celebrated with more than 800 children across 33 Vedanta Nand Ghars through colouring, storytelling, music performances, and fun games. The day concluded with nutritious refreshments, reinforcing health and hygiene.
  • Vizag General Cargo Berth (VGCB), Andhra Pradesh: Partnered with NGO partners  and anganwadis to reach 151 children through educational gifts, cultural competitions, and a vibrant fancy dress event.
