The renovation of the Satellite Hospital is part of a series of impactful healthcare initiatives undertaken by Vedanta Aluminium in Jharsuguda. Previously, Vedanta has set up an advanced Diagnostic Centre in the vicinity of the town, where residents can avail cutting-edge medical tests and high-end diagnostics at government-approved rates, ensuring that quality healthcare services are both accessible and affordable. Additionally, Vedanta operates a well-equipped Mobile Health Unit (MHU) supported by expert medical staff, which travels daily across remote villages in Jharsuguda, providing essential medical consultations, diagnostics, and free medicines to underserved communities.

Further strengthening its community health efforts, Vedanta Aluminium has partnered with the Government of India’s Nikshay Mitra initiative through which the company is distributing nutrition kits to tuberculosis (TB) patients, supporting their recovery and promoting better health outcomes.
