Vedanta Aluminium Empowers Young Minds through ‘UNMESA 3.0’

Jharsuguda, Odisha; February 4th, 2025: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, in partnership with the District Education Office, Jharsuguda, successfully hosted ‘UNMESA 3.0’ – a three-day residential orientation camp designed for the top-performing students from 10th standard, studying at government and government-aided schools across Jharsuguda. The camp was held at K.G. Girls High School, Samasingha in Jharsuguda district, and focused on academic excellence, career counselling, and board exam preparation.
Over the course of three days, 51 students participated in a series of comprehensive classes and interactive sessions, supported by a dedicated team of 15 teachers and employee volunteers from Vedanta. The event was honoured by the esteemed presence of Mr. Tankadhar Tripathy, MLA, Jharsuguda; Mr. Radhakanta Gartia, District Education Officer, Jharsuguda; and Mr. Sushanta Kumar Ghuta, Additional District Educational Officer, Jharsuguda
Through engaging, interactive sessions under Vedanta’s Vidyagraha – e-learning project, the camp covered seven key subjects and provided students with comprehensive career guidance and insights on effective study techniques. Employee volunteers offered personalized career counselling sessions and addressed queries about the students’ academic and professional futures.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Tankadhar Tripathy, MLA, Jharsuguda said, “It is heartening to witness students embracing the opportunity to enhance their learning and shape their futures. Initiatives like UNMESA 3.0 not only prepare students academically but also nurture the values essential for personal and professional success. I urge these promising minds to leverage their potential and make a positive impact on society.”
